Accessibility statement
Accessibility commitments for this site (WCAG 2.2 level AA) and how to report a problem.
Updated
Our commitment
SNDE wants its website to be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities, older people and visitors browsing on a phone with a slow connection.
The target standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
Conformance status
Not assessed: no independent accessibility audit has been carried out yet. An audit should take place before the official launch.
Measures in place
- full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link;
- headings and page regions (header, navigation, content, footer) marked up for screen readers;
- colour contrast designed to meet level AA, in both light and dark themes;
- a complete right-to-left layout for Arabic, and the correct language attribute on every page;
- animations reduced or removed when the system asks for less motion;
- text can be enlarged to 200% without losing content;
- forms with clear labels, error messages linked to their fields and an error summary;
- pages work without JavaScript; only search and live filtering depend on it.
Known limitations
- some PDF documents published by SNDE may not be fully accessible; an accessible version can be requested;
- official photographs, once added, will need suitable descriptions;
- external websites (MySNDE, Facebook) are outside the scope of this statement.
